You have approached a hospital for treating your ailment, and your doctor writes an array of medical tests to be performed. After you are done with that, you will receive dozens of pages of your medical reports, most of which are uninterpretable in your viewpoint. There is no patience for patients to learn medical terminologies and review their medical records and indicate proper correction of any errors they may find in their records.
NeoDocs Technologies Pvt. Ltd., an Indian startup, is transforming the way the world experiences medical reports, making them easy to understand and follow. They are also guided with personalized next steps, and in the language of their choice. How cool is this?
This Mumbai-based startup was launched in early 2021 as a health-technology startup by Nikunj Malpani, Anurag Meena and Pratik Lodha with focus on self-diagnosis. All three of them are alumni of IIT-Bombay. NeoDocs’ artificial intelligence-based platform interprets and simplifies medical reports to provide personalized health recommendations.
The startup operates via a lab-agnostic model and generates reports in English and Hindi, with plans to branch out into other Indian languages as well.
While the company’s focus has been B2B, there’s a large untapped opportunity in going direct to consumers. The startup has initiated a direct to consumer vertical, which will help users to fully understand their medical data and envision to bring multiple health and wellness products accessible on whatsapp. Anyone can forward their report to NeoDocs on Whatsapp and have their smart report generated in a matter of seconds.
The world has opened its eyes to the importance of vaccinations, and NeoDocs stresses on how adult vaccinations are important as an individual and also to the community they live in. NeoDocs comes up with a list of Vaccine Preventable Diseases such as Hepatitis A, Influenza, Measles, Tetanus, etc.
The startup has recently raised pre-seed funding in a round led by 9Unicorns, the fund set up by startup incubator and accelerator Venture Catalysts.
Other participants in this round include Rohit Srivastava, the head of the biosciences and biomedical engineering department at IIT-Bombay, and Khyaal CEO, Hemanshu Jain.
“NeoDocs will use the capital it has raised to build out a cross-functional team as well as strengthen its product and conduct validation studies.”

“Their innovative idea of utilizing AI for medical data interpretation will not only benefit millions but also create the needed awareness for preventable diseases.”

The B2C MVP of NeoDocs has received good response from users, so the startup is planning to scale the product to a million users in the times to come.
